'SHOULDHAM HALL' is situated in its own park like grounds in the pleasant country village of Shouldham, which is located between Swaffham and Downham Market near Kings Lynn.
The Home offers the highest standards of care and comfort for its service users and is specifically designed for those with a wide range of needs and dependencies.
Shouldham Hall can accommodate 48 service users. The majority of bedrooms are single occupancy and most benefit from en-suite facilities and are bright, airy and well furnished.
At Shouldham Hall, we respect each individual's desire for privacy and independence whilst at the same time, we recognise that companionship is a crucial element of daily life.
By prior arrangement with the Home Manager, service users may bring in small items of furniture for their exclusive use, as well as any small personal items and mementos. A safe is available in the administration office for any small, valuable items that may need to be kept secure.
All beds have a reading lamp and each bed has its own connection to the nurse call system to ensure speedy attention, both day and night. Service users are free to use any of the many sitting rooms during the day and all are situated close to toilet and washing facilities.
Shouldham Hall has been furnished and carpeted to create a warm and homely environment. It has recently been fully upgraded and now benefits from a large, spacious and relaxing conservatory. This area can be used for reading, quiet contemplation, etc. and adds another dimension to the recreation areas available within the Home.
All lounges are equipped with TV and service users can also enjoy their own radio and TV in their bedrooms.
Outings to places of interest are frequently arranged during the summer months and service users are often involved in deciding the venues. Whilst service users are encouraged to participate, there is never any pressure or compulsion to do so.
Nursing staff encourage group activities and 'sing-a-longs' so that each client can exercise any particular talent for their own benefit and enjoyment and that of others. Service users are further encouraged to take an interest in crafts and exercises.
Our qualified catering team offer a varied cooked menu, providing for all dietary needs.
Newspapers and periodicals can be ordered from a local newsagent for those who wish to keep up with current affairs.
A qualified hairdresser visits each week and a very reasonable charge is made for this service.
